Dear Baby Hunt,
Your parents like going to the beach- well, your mom likes going to the beach, and your dad likes surfing. He doesn't especially like lying around on the sand, which was why they both had such a good time with you at Jenness Beach. Jess and Chris met after work, had a nice picnic dinner, and Chris caught a few waves on his homemade surfboard while Jess did Yoga by the water's edge. There were thunderstorms earlier in the day, but what a beautiful evening it turned out to be. We've learned that as a newborn you will have a natural dive reflex, which means you will automatically close your eyes and hold your breath when you go underwater, so it seems like you may get your first surfing lesson before you are even walking! Although your parents are so excited to meet you, Jess is also looking forward to being able to lie on her stomach again on her boogie board after you arrive!
Jess is at 33 weeks!

Wow, 33 weeks! Crazy how time flies! Chris, I think it is so cool you made your surfboard. Chris has been talking about taking up surfing in Rhode Island, maybe we'll get you to give him some lessons :) Can't wait for the bean to arrive!
Definitely, it would be great to come down and get in the waves. I've heard there are some pretty good breaks down there. It's a great workout too. I'm not that good, but perhaps that's best, since I can show him lots of things not to do. Yeah, we're in the home stretch now!
By the way, I have a second surfboard in my basement that my buddy Doug made at the same time. He got a little carried away with the shaping tool, and it is horribly lopsided. But the good news is, he painted an off-center stripe to fool the eye. Anyway, I'm sure he'd have no problem getting rid of it if Chris has any interest in brushing up his fiberglass finishing skills!
